Do you believe in curses? This post is filled with mysterious accidents and deaths, that has affected the production, cast and crew of the following movies.

The Crow (1994)

Eight days before the film was completed, Brandon Lee, was accidentally shot in the abdomen by a Magnum, which was not a prop, but a fully functioning firearm. Also in the tv series, “The Crow: Stairway to Heaven” (1998), stunt co-ordinator Marc Akerstream was killed while working on an explosive stunt.

Rosemary’s Baby (1968)

A year after its release, the actress Sharon Tate, Polanski’s wife, and four others family friends were murdered by the Manson Family. Tate was eight months pregnant. Also the film’s composer died of a brain clot after making the film, the same way a character in the film dies.

The Omen (1976)

On several occasions, planes used by the crew and cast, were almost struck by lightning. The hotel where the makers were lodged was bombed by IRA activists, surprisingly nobody was harmed. Months after the production of the movie the special effects consultant John Richardson suffered injuries in a head-on car collision that killed his assistant, Liz Moore.

The Exorcist (1973)

Ellen Burstyn, who played Chris MacNeil, the mother of the possessed Regan, addressed in her auto biography all the deaths associated with the film. Nine deaths, accidental and natural, including cast and crew. The actress herself got a severe spine injury when a stunt went wrong and the set and decorations kept catching fire without any reason…

The ‘Poltergeist’ trilogy (1982, 1986, 1988)

Most of the actors who starred in this trilogy are now dead. Heather O’Rourke, the blond little girl who took part in all 3 movies, died from a severe flu, days before the third movie release. Julian Beck, the famous and creepy “Reverend Kane”, died on Sept. 14, 1985 of stomach cancer. Dominique Dunne, who played Dana in the first movie, died at age 22 after being murdered by her former boyfriend. Will Sampson, 53 years old, who played Taylor the medicine man in “Poltergeist II,” died as a result of post-operative kidney failure on June 3, 1987.
