Animated Short – “Destino”, Walt Disney & Salvador Dalí

The collaboration originally took place between 1945 and 1948, but was discarded due to the financial losses that Disney experienced during WWII. It wasn’t until 1999 that the storyboards were discovered again, while Disney studios began conceptualizing Fantasia 2000. With some help from Salvador Dalí’s wife, Gala, the studio deciphered the storyboards and animated the short film, although it didn’t end up making the cut for Fantasia 2000. Features music written by Mexican songwriter Armando Dominguez and performed by Dora Luz.
