Whimsical Book Sculptures by Isobelle Ouzman

Using pens, glue sticks and an x-acto knife, illustrator Isobelle Ouzman, transforms old books into magical three-dimensional fairytale scenes. Ouzman calls her creations the “Altered Books”.

“My name is Isobelle and I am a twenty-three year old, England born human, currently residing in Seattle Washington. In 2010 I graduated from Tacoma School of the Arts High School, where I studied illustration and painting. Ever since then, I have been working full time at a print shop and spend my free hours of the day collecting and drawing the things that inspire me. I am a quiet lady with a wild imagination and a love for all things nature and fairy-tale related. Everything I make uses re-purposed or recycled materials, and I’m trying my best to keep it that way.” – via
